Covid-19 needs update:
Safe Harbor Support Center continues to be open and provide essential services to those in need in our community such as the 24/7 staffing and care for homeless teens at My Friends Place, and Family Assistance packages including:

personal hygiene items

personal and household sanitation kits

diapers and wipes
-
food
-
and many other items as needed and available at Safe Harbor.
Unfortunately, like many in our community and throughout our country we are facing difficult decisions due to closures and measures enacted to reduce the spread of the virus. Our Sails Outlet is a vital source of funding for our agency, as are grants and community donations.
Additionally, grant revenue is being reappropriated by the issuing foundations to address areas they see need to be addressed due to the virus and the changes it has brought to our community even in this short time. We are also seeing an understandable but significant drop in monetary donations. Our agency operates at minimal staffing levels and has cut our additional programs already to ensure proper use of remaining funds. However, these measures will only carry our agency for a finite amount of time. We have already seen a few agencies in our area shut down temporarily due to inadequate staffing levels, to ensure safety of volunteers, and for other reasons - but that makes our remaining even more important to those suddenly facing financial burdens they have not faced - or unable to use the resources they have had in the past.
We are coming to you, our community members, neighbors, supporters and friends to ask for help to keep our agency operating - to allow us to continue to provide our services to those in need in the community as we face the challenges ahead in the coming weeks.
